OUR MISSION

HEADWAY SCHOOL FOR GIFTEDNESS is envisioned as an institution of quality learning for children.  It aims to facilitate the optimum development of young learners to become humane, democratic, critical and innovative learning contributors to nation building, and proactive agents of globalization and world peace.

HEADWAY SCHOOL FOR GIFTEDNESS is committed to provide an environment that nurtures the innate endowment of young learners.  To attain this, the school ensures that instruction and research will be implemented to enable the children to anticipate the challenges of a dynamic society.
Our HSG Alumni talk about life at our school.

  • We believe that all children, irrespective of social standing and race, have the potential to grow and learn to the optimum.
  • We believe that all children should be given equal opportunity and support to explore and develop their interests and talents.
  • We believe that through proper nurturance and motivation, all children will be stimulated to actualize their inner gifts.
  • We believe that home and school must work in partnership to effectively support learning.
  • We believe in equity and cultural diversity to be reflected in the selection of students, curriculum and teaching strategies.

OUR GOALS

  • To provide an environment with varied opportunities that will enhance children's potential abilities and embrace learning opportunities beyond the traditional classroom;
  • To develop instructional strategies and implement the best and tested practices in educational programs;
  • To design a differentiated and flexible program that responds to the unique learning abilities of students;
  • To promote an atmosphere that is intellectually challenging and personally rewarding; and
  • To ensure that all learning abilities and experiences are geared toward the optimal development of the intellectual, emotional, social, physical, spiritual and aesthetic aspects of the child.
