HSG Moving Up and Graduation Day 2017
On behalf of all the teachers, staff and personnel of Headway School for Giftedness, we would like to extend our congratulations to our dear students, graduates, and parents who have been part of yet another wonderful year in HSG! HSG Foundation Week 2017
This year, Headway School for Giftedness celebrated its 15th year of being a bona fide institution catering to students with incredible talents, gifts, and exceptionalities! For the celebration, we focused on celebrating each child’s individual strength and intelligence. The school lined up different types of activities and seminars to hone the children's skills during Headway School for Giftedness’ Foundation Week 2017 held last February 20 to 23, 2017.
Grade 6 Annual Retreat: Fostering CompassionAs part of the Grade 6 class’ moving up and transition to new ventures, HSG arranged a one-day retreat which focused on Fostering Compassion. The non-sectarian retreat for both the Grade 6 students and the parents was a wonderful opportunity to strengthen the bond and relationships between and among adults and peers.

First Holy Communion
In the pursuit of spiritual growth among our Catholic students, Headway School for Giftedness has arranged a First Holy Communion for our dear communicants, as recommended by our Catechist, Catechist Sr. Agnes Simon C. Catapusan. This Holy Sacrament is a significant part of our young Catholics' lives and deepens the children's understanding and appreciation of the Catholic faith.
HSG Giftedness Week 2016
Headway School for Giftedness celebrated Giftedness Week to showcase the exceptional talents and skills of each student in our school community. For the said week, the students exhibited their skills in drawing, painting, making 3D art, and creative writing. The school also launched a Dr. Seuss-themed Giftedness Week Culminating Activity entitled, “Oh, the Thinks You Can Think: Painting the Way to Inventiveness and Vision” last November 25, 2016.
Family Fitness Day and Leadership Camp
As a celebration of kinesthetic intelligence, Headway School for Giftedness conducted a Fridays-Out-of-the-Box!: Family Fitness Day and Leadership Camp last January 27, 2017at the U.P. Barangay Covered Court with the students and their families.
HSG Trick or Treat!
The Trick or Treat Event at Headway School for Giftedness was made amazing by the students and visitors who wore quirky costumes of famous movie characters! They were in for a fun treat with all the sweets they got from the classrooms which were decorated by the HSG students themselves.
HSG Math and Science FairThe students sure had fun during the Math and Science Fair at Headway School for Giftedness! Each class prepared their own science experiment to share to the HSG community. The children explored exhibitions of various areas of science such as botany, zoology, and genetics, and took part in the quiz bees and Damath championships.

Linggo ng Wika Celebration
The students of Headway School for Giftedness celebrated Linggo ng Wika last August 23 to 26, 2016 with the theme, Filipino: Wika ng Karunungan". The week-long celebration aimed to inculcate love for the Filipino Language and to raise awareness of our collective culture as a nation. The students partook in reading ang writing Filipino poems, slogan-making, storytelling with Adarna Books, and had fun in our Palarong Pinoy and munting Salu-salo.
Environment-friendly Practices: La Mesa Ecopark Exposure Trip
The students of Headway School for Giftedness learned about about nature preservation, protection of natural resources, and environment – friendly practices in the hands-on gardening and nursing activity during their exposure trip to La Mesa Ecopark. The activity helped them in understanding the benefits of plants and planting, and fostering environmental stewardship.
FOB: HSG Nutrition Week
In line with our National Celebration of the Nutrition Month, Headway School for Giftedness held a Fridays-Out-of-the-Box! Culminating Event entitled, “Eat Clean and Green – Fruits and Vegetables for a Fruitful Life” last July 29, 2016, with the objective of creating awareness on the importance of eating healthy and promoting the consumption and benefits of fruits and vegetables. The event enjoined the students to participate in the celebration by undertaking activities which highlight the importance of proper nutrition and healthy lifestyle, such as good nutrition posster making, healthy meal preparation and sharing, and participating in our HSG Nutrition and Health Seminar facilitated by dentist and parent to one of our students, Dr. Santos Sarmiento.

General Parents' Orientation 2016
The General Parents' Orientation served as a refresher and discussion venue regarding Headway School for Giftedness' academic programs, policies, guidelines, and newly-offered learning opportunities. A seminar about embracing the inclusionary system was also facilitated by our in-house psychologist, Ms. Mary Iphigene Daradar.
FOB: Emergency Preparedness and First Aid Training
We at Headway School for Giftedness aim to empower the important persons who collaborate with the school to ensure the children’s safety and promote emergency awareness and preparedness for all. In line with the school’s theme for the month of June, our first Fridays-Out-of-the-Box! for the school year was dedicated to emergency preparedness and first aid training. We invited professionals from the NCR Police Station, Quezon City Fire District and the Philippine Red Cross to share their knowledge regarding risk management and disaster prevention, and to educate both the children and the personnel on the necessary actions to take in case of calamities.
Metro Manila Shake Drill 2016
The students and personnel of Headway School for Giftedness participated in the metro-wide earthquake drill last June 22, 2016, which was organized by the Metro Manila Disaster risk Reduction and Management Council (MMDRRMC) and managed by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA).
HSG Summer Recital 2016
Last June, 2016, the students of Headway School for Giftedness showcased the talents they have honed during their participation in the HSG summer programs in the HSG Summer Music Recital 2016! The children exhibited their skills in playing the guitar, piano, violin, singing and dancing in front of friends and family. The event was held in the Claret School auditorium, Quezon City.
