August in schools is synonymous to Linggo ng Wika. It's a dedicated week of getting to know our country, its language and culture. In celebration of the Linggo ng Wika, last 25 August 2017, our students at HSG dawned their best Filipino costumes, ranging from the usual baro't saya to the exotic sarong. Both teachers and student enjoyed the Fiesta atmosphere brought to life by the students inter-level friendly competition of Say-Awit and Sabayang Bigkas, the teacher's dancing and the local food shared amongst each other. Further enriching their appreciation of the beauty of our culture, students got to mingle with the Katutubong Batang Lumad, who graced the Linggo ng Wika with their culture's songs and dance. Even for just a little while, HSG students immersed themselves in the beauty and diversity of the Filipino culture.
