 Last October our students participated in the annual United Nations Festivities, as well as in the Halloween Celebration. In the United Nations celebration, the students participated in various festivities. They learned how to say hello in different languages, discover the origin of their names, color the flags of various countries, discover using the Venn diagram the similarities and differences of cultures, as well as play games coming from their assigned countries. To end the week's events each class performed either a song or dance from their assigned countries and visited various classroom to do a bit of Trick or Treat. This week long celebration allowed the students to learn that in diversity, unity is possible.
